SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara posted a 7-2 win over Pacific baseball team in game two of the West Conference series Saturday. James Free II went 2-4 and brought in his team leading 45th run of the season, while Preston Moebius and Blake Barry also recorded two hits each.
The Tigers attacked first as Kevin Sandri started off the game with a leadoff walk followed by a James Free II double to deep left center field to score Sandri and give Pacific a 1-0 lead.
In the second, Santa Clara got on the board after a pair of singles then a double down the left field line from Lucas Eliason scored Austin Fisher and Matt Smithwick.
