STOCKTON — Monday night’s 11 p.m. starting time didn’t bother Pacific junior forward Jack Williams one bit.
“We’re young,” he said. “I redshirted last year. Sometimes I shot at 2 in the morning. We can play any time.”
The clock was nearing 1 a.m. early Tuesday when the transfer from Long Beach State dove headfirst into the first row of seats along the sideline after a loose ball. He emerged unscathed, beat his chest and let out a loud yell as he bounded back onto the court.
“I was pumped,” Williams said. “I just wanted to get the ball back.
