STOCKTON, Calif. - Various student-athletes and Pacific staff members went to Marshall and Wilson Elementary schools Thursday morning to vounteer at the 26th annual Rotary Read-In to help promote literacy among the children in the Stockton community.
Each volunteer was assigned to a kindergarten-third grade class and read a book of their choosing to the lucky students. The book was then donated to the class and added to the school library. Last year's event had in excess of 900 volunteers read to more than 20,000 students.
