University of the Pacific’s volleyball team had a tough night in San Diego.
The Tigers were swept by University of San Diego 25-18, 25-17, and 25-16 on Thursday at Jenny Craig Pavilion in San Diego. It was the second loss in a row for Pacific (12-11, 4-7 WCC). The Toreros improved to 17-5, 10-1.
Pacific’s offense struggled, as the Tigers had just a .146 hitting percentage, while San Diego hit .391 as a team.
The Tigers were competitive in the first set, but San Diego went on a 6-2 run to close out the set, which included a 5-0 run in the final five serves.
