LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The Pacific women's water polo team fell, 19-3, to No. 3 USC on Sunday. The Tigers closes out their three-game roadtrip with a 2-1 record and currently stand with an overall record of 10-7, 3-0 in conference. USC moves to an overall of 16-1 following their win, 0-0 in conference play.
The Tigers scored on the opening tip as Mariana Duarte found the back of the net at the 7:11 mark to put Pacific up 1-0. Duarte took four of her five shots on goal in the first period.
The Orange and Black could not get a clear shot on the following possessions however, as they struggled getting an entry pass in which led to three straight steals by the Trojans and an eventual 4-1 advantage.
