It was a solid start for the visiting Pacific women’s basketball team, with the Tigers sporting a 21-12 lead after a quarter of play.
Three quarters later, though, it was clear Pacific wouldn’t add to its best season start since 2012-2013. At least not Thursday night in Beaumont, Texas.
Valerie Higgins and Lianna Tillman scored 15 points apiece, but the Tigers lost their lead and couldn’t recover in an 82-66 loss to host Lamar.
The loss puts Pacific at 6-3 on the young season.
Brooklyn McDavid and Ameela Li added 11 points each for the Tigers, with Li totaling seven rebounds.
