SYRACUSE, N.Y. –The University of the Pacific field hockey team fell in a nail-biter match with #12 Syracuse, 3-2, in overtime on Friday afternoon.

- Within the first five minutes of the game the Tigers came out on fire, as Kriekie van Wyk netted her ninth goal of the season off a penalty corner to give Pacific a 1-0 lead.
- With less than a minute remaining in the first half, de Kock pushed another penalty corner into Ash Rutherford for the stop to allow van Wyk to notch the second goal of the game and give Pacific a 2-0 lead.
