STOCKTON — Those slowed by holiday weekend traffic on the way to Knoles Field on Sunday afternoon missed the action.
Most of it, anyway.
The visiting Hawaii women’s soccer team scored three times in the first 17 minutes of play, and went on to snap Pacific’s modest two-game winning streak with a 5-0 shutout.
For what it’s worth, the Tigers were fairly comparable in nearly every statistic besides the scoreboard. Hawaii got 16 shots off to Pacific’s 13, and the Tigers made four saves to Hawaii’s five.
Pacific even had a 5-2 edge in corner kicks, and committed nine fouls to Hawaii’s 13.
