Tigers ready for WCC tourney

STOCKTON — The Pacific Tigers’ success in Las Vegas will likely come down to doing the little things correctly.

The seventh-seeded Tigers begin the West Coast Conference women’s basketball tournament at 2 p.m. today against No. 10 Portland at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. Pacific (13-16, 7-11 WCC) comes into the tourney having played four consecutive games decided by two points, and it has come out on the short side in the last three.

Tigers head coach Bradley Davis said it’s frustrating to lose close contests, but his players need to remember they are doing many things well, and just need to clean up some areas.
