Tigers Ranked In Preseason Top 25

Stockton, Calif. - The National Field Hockey Coaches' Association released their first poll of the 2016 season, with the Pacific Tigers finishing 24th with 42 points. It's the first time in Pacific history that the field hockey team has broken into the rankings. The season begins for Pacific this Sunday at 2:00 pm against the No. 3 Connecticut Huskies at the Pacific Field Hockey Turf.

Pacific's ranking comes fresh off their America East Conference West Division title in 2015. The Tigers went 11-8 last year, tying the program record for most wins in a season. Pacific also made it to the second round of the America East Conference Championship before falling to eventual conference champion Albany in Albany.
