STOCKTON — There’s something to be said for being a free swinger.

Pacific freshman James Free continued his power surge with two monster home runs and four RBI as the Tigers returned home and clobbered Washington State 14-8 on a sunny Monday afternoon at Klein Family Field. Pacific (12-15) collected 17 hits and scored nine runs with two outs in an inning as it snapped a four-game losing streak.

The Tigers resume West Coast Conference play at 6 p.m. Thursday against BYU. The win over a Pac-12 put the Tigers in a good mood after a rough road trip last weekend to Loyola Marymount.
