University of Pacific’s volleyball team’s home-court advantage held up once again, and the Tiger moved closer to a possible postseason berth.
The Tiger swept Portland 25-18, 25-20, 25-17 on Saturday at the Spanos Center, retaining its hold on third place in the West Coast Conference. Pacific (15-13, 10-7 WCC) finishes its regular season against San Francisco (3-27, 0-17) at home at 7 p.m. Tuesday, as the Tigers make one last case for the playoffs. Pacific is vying for a berth in the National Invitational Volleyball Championships, and must be invited.
The Tigers have been tough at the Spanos Center, posting a 7-2 record at home.
