STOCKTON – Pacific women's basketball coach Bradley Davis mentioned "opportunities" several times following Thursday's overtime loss to Portland.
Opportunities, as in missed opportunities.
"We had opportunities that just didn't go down," the Tigers' second-year coach said after his team's 78-71 loss against the Pilots. "We had some opportunities to get some stops and they made some tough shots."
Early in overtime, he said Pacific had opportunities to start strong and didn't convert. The Tigers didn't score on their first three possessions in OT, and allowed Portland to find its footing and pull away.
