HILO, Hawai'i- On the first day of the Amer Ari tournament, the Pacific Tigers finished in 18th in the 21 team tournament, just three strokes back of the top 15 in the standings. The Tigers are ahead of three teams going into day two of the three-day tournament, including WCC rival Saint Mary's. Texas Tech, one of the 12 ranked teams competing in the tournament, finished the day in first.
James Feutz had the best score of the day for the Tigers with his 73, one over par. Feutz's day was bookended by birdies as he went under par on hole one and 18.
