STOCKTON – Saturday’s game between the Pacific Tigers and BYU, by all accounts, had no business of going down to the last shot.

After all, the Tigers had lost six of their last seven games while BYU had won nine of its last 10. But crowd of 2,897 at Spanos Center saw the Tigers out-last the Cougars for a thrilling 67-66 West Coast Conference victory.

BYU’s Zac Seljaas’ basket as time expired was ruled as no good and confirmed by replay officials as an anxious crowd awaited the final verdict. It was the second time in five years that the Tigers defeated the Cougars at home, and the Tigers instantly celebrated along its bench.
