Tigers Hold On For 10-6 Win After First Inning Outburst

Stockton, Calif. - In the first of two in a West Coast Conference series at Loyola Marymount, the Pacific Softball team snapped an eight-game losing streak with an offensive outburst, plating seven runs in a fervent first inning and holding on for a 10-6 victory. The game featured season-highs in both hits and runs for the Tigers. Marissa Young (9-8) picked up the win while Rachael Farrington (13-8) was tagged with the loss.

The action started for the Tigers with a Sara Anderson single to left field. Melanie Habib reached on a sacrifice bunt attempt to put two on with none out for Sydney Lahners, who roped a double into left field, plating Anderson for a 1-0 lead.
