STOCKTON - It took an extra period and multiple clutch performances, but the Pacific women's basketball team celebrated a victory Saturday.
Freshman Callie Owens came off the bench to score a career-high 20 points in the Tigers' 80-79 overtime victory against Pepperdine at Spanos Center. Head coach Bradley Davis expected the Tigers were going to have to claw their way out of a five-game losing streak.
"We knew that the next win was going to be tough not matter who we were playing," he said. "Pepperdine was coming off a big win Thursday against USF. They were shooting the ball well coming in and we knew that.
