STOCKTON — After three days of traversing the links in the surprisingly sweltering October sun, the Pacific men’s golf team came away with something to hold them over through the holidays: its best tournament of the season.
The Tigers shot a 4-under as a team to finish in a tie for sixth place Saturday in their own Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational, held at The Reserve at Spanos Park’s par-72 course. The team total was Pacific’s best through four tournaments this season, and it came in the team’s last before the winter offseason.
Santa Clara was first overall as a team, carding a 30-under par for the tournament.
