TEMPE, Ariz. – The University of the Pacific baseball team fell in the final game of the series to Arizona State University on Monday night, 8-3.
The Tigers fall to 20-28 overall, while the Sun Devils improve to 21-28 on the season.
After trailing 4-0, the Tigers got on the board and cut into the Sun Devils lead at the top of the fifth. Nate Verlin got the momentum going with a leadoff double to left center. Alex LeForestier was hit by the pitch to take his base.
With one out, Matthew Tarantino singled to right field to load the bases.
