Pacific women's soccer (2-8-0) fell in the WCC opener tonight at Knoles Field to a Pepperdine team (6-5-0) that entered the match coming off one of the toughest non-conference schedules in the nation. Pepperdine scored in the 37th and 62nd minute to see off the Tigers, 2-0.
First half:
- Pacific freshman Beth Burgess took the first shot of the game in the second minute, but it was Pepperdine who controlled most of the first 45 minutes. The Waves totalled seven shots to Pacific's two in the opening half.
