Tigers Fall to Kansas State 1-3 in Season Opener

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Sophomore outside hitter Skylar Wine recorded a career-best 22 kills despite the Tigers' loss to Kansas State 1-3 in their season opener at the Oregon State Tournament.

After cruising through the first set, the Tigers were unable to take another set from the Wildcats and eventually dropped the match, 25-15, 26-28, 13-25, 29-31.

Wine, who hit a team-best .471, was one of four Pacific players to record double-digit kills -- Andie Shelton and Emily Baptista each had 16 kills, while Ashlyn Fleming collected 12 kills on the afternoon.
