Tigers fall out of first-place tie in the WCC

STOCKTON - The Pacific women's basketball team didn't do the things it does best against Saint Mary's.

The Tigers never established flow offensively and the ninth-best free-throw shooting team in the country was outscored by 13 points from the line in a 63-54 loss to the Gaels in front of 398 Thursday at Spanos Center. Pacific fell out of a four-way tie for first in the West Coast Conference into a four-way tie for third with Santa Clara, Saint Mary's and USF.

The Tigers will play BYU, tied for first with Gonzaga, at 1 p.m. Saturday in Provo, Utah.
