Stockton, Calif. – Two goals we're not enough for the women's soccer team as they fell to the visiting New Mexico Lobos 5-2 on Sunday afternoon.
"I think we played hard, we saw a fight in this soccer program that we haven't seen in years," said head coach Kerri Scroope. "Two goals are huge for us. We're in a drought and it's always scary until you get that first one in but to get two against a team like this is huge and it shows us hope for the future."
New Mexico found the net first in the 17th minute when Jennifer Munoz scored off a corner kick to put the Lobos up 1-0.
