The Pacific men's soccer team (1-1-0) dropped their first match of the 2018 season 3-0 to the Cal State Bakersfield Roadrunners (2-0-0) in a match that did not reflect the score line.
Pacific outshot CSUB 16-7, earned more corner kicks and out-possessed the Roadrunners.
"Despite the scoreline, we feel like we made some really significant progress and played a lot better," head coach Ryan Jorden said. "Soccer is funny in a lot of ways. If you hit the post twice and those balls go in, the game is significantly different, the nature of the game changes and you feel significantly different about the outcome.
