Tigers exhibit offensive strength

STOCKTON – When Anthony Townes and Jack Williams head to the bench less than four minutes into a game, it likely means one of two things.

Either they’re in foul trouble, or a rout is brewing. On Wednesday, it was the latter.

Townes and Williams were dominating early on before coach Damon Stoudamire had them take a breath as the Pacific men’s basketball team blasted Bethesda 84-49 in an exhibition season opener at Spanos Center.

Nine of Pacific’s 10 active players scored, and four were in double digits in Miles Reynolds (game-high 16 points), Williams (15 points), Lafayette Dorsey (12) and Roberto “Bertie” Gallinat (10).
