STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific men's golf team struggled a bit on the first day of West Coast Conference Championships play, placing eighth after its first 18 holes with an eight over-par 296.
The event is being hosted April 25-27 at the Tigers' home course — The Reserve at Spanos Park in Stockton, Calif.
Leading the nine WCC programs is San Francisco, which shot a whopping 14-under 274. The Dons were followed by BYU (278, -10), Saint Mary's (283, -5), Loyola Marymount (285, -3), Gonzaga (286, -2), Santa Clara (287, -1), Pepperdine (289, +1), Pacific, and San Diego (301, +13).
