Stockton, Calif. - In the season finale on Friday afternoon at Smith Family Field in Los Angeles, the Pacific Softball team was narrowly edged by Loyola Marymount by a final tally of 2-1. Pacific struck for its sole run as part of a fifth inning rally, as singles from Molly Bourne and Sara Anderson set the table for Sydney Lahners, who singled, plating a run to cut the Lions advantage to 2-1.
Pacific finishes the 2016 campaign at 20-28 (3-12 WCC), while Loyola Marymount finishes at 32-21 (10-5 WCC), after failing to preserve its tenuous postseason chances going into the three-game set.
