STOCKTON, Calif. - The Tigers dropped their National Invitational Softball Championship opener 7-0 to Cal Poly on Tuesday night, snapping their nine-game win streak. Pacific will now take on UC Santa Barbara tomorrow at 1 PM at Bill Simoni Field needing a win to stay alive in the postseason tournament.
Despite playing the contest at Bill Simoni Field, the Tigers served as the visitors due to the NISC seeding. Marissa Young got her 23rd start of the year, going five and-two-thirds with three strikeouts and one earned. Cassidy Gustafson went 1-for-3 at the plate with a double, and Rachel Sellers added a pair of walks.
