STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific women's beach volleyball team wrapped up its two-game home stand Saturday afternoon against San Jose State.
The Tigers (0-2) fell to the Spartans (9-6), 5-0 at the Raney Volleyball Courts, located on Pacific's campus.
All five Pacific flights were unable to snag a set victory, but the Tigers No. 1 flight, which includes Lucy Carpenter and Riley Patterson nearly upset the Spartans top pairing in the first set of their match. Carpenter and Patterson were down by as much as four points (16-12) at the 28-point court switch, but out-scored SJSU 6-2 over the next eight points to come back and tie the game at 18-18.
