Tigers Drop Home Finale To Cal, 9-1

Stockton, Calif. - Despite taking an early lead thanks to a Rachel Sellers solo homer, the Pacific Softball team was defeated by California by a final score of 9-1 in five innings of play. Pacific struck for seven hits, but struggled to contain a California offense that tallied 14. Pacific sits at 19-26 after the non-conference loss while Cal is now 29-18-1 with the road victory.

Sellers led off the second inning with Sellers' shot to straight away center field, going ahead 1-0 against Katie Sutherland-Finch. Nicole Zapotoczny followed with a double to right center field and Gustafson laid down a burn single to put runners on the corners.
