SANTA MONICA, Calif. – After falling to No. 14 Loyola Marymount (5-0) to open West Coast Conference Championship play, the Pacific beach volleyball team earned its first victory of the season in an elimination game against Portland on Friday afternoon. After downing the the Pilots by a score of 3-2, the Tigers went on to drop Friday's finale against San Francisco, 4-1.
The Tigers close out their 2019 campaign with a 1-15 record.
Pacific's No. 3 pair Allison Dennemann and Riley Patterson improve to 8-1 on the season after claiming wins against Portland's Sarah Kovac/Jessica Prichard (21-11, 21-12) and San Francisco's Moana To'oto'o/Ella Reames (21-16, 21-19).
