PROVO, Utah - In the first day of the PING Cougar Classic, the Pacific Tigers finished in tenth overall, shooting a +6 as a team in round one and a +12 in round two to finish with an total score of +18. BYU held the lead after day one shooting an overall score of -11 after both rounds.
Tyler Burnes completed round one with three birdies finishing two under on the back nine after going +3 on the front with a total score of 73 and +1. During round two, Burnes lead the pack for the Tigers finishing two over par, which put him at a score of 74 and +3 for the day.
