Tigers Bounce Back To Split Day One of WCC Opener

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The Tiger softball team opened their first West Coast Conference series of the season with a split against host San Diego, falling 4-3 (11) in game one before taking game two 8-2.

The two teams went 11 innings in game one, which is the longest contest for Pacific since 2014 when they went 11 against LMU. Marissa Young started for Pacific, throwing nine innings with just two earned and two strikeouts in the longest outing of her career. Sydney Lahners belted a game-tying two-run home run in the sixth and went 2-for-4 in the contest.
