Pacific women's tennis started off West Coast Conference play on the right foot with a 4-2 win over Santa Clara on the road on Saturday.
Pacific started the day by taking two out of three matches in doubles to take a 1-0 lead and went on to win matches in singles on courts two, five and six to clinch the win and take their second match in the last three tries.
"This was a great start to conference play today," head coach Mike Erwin said. "Several of our ladies stepped up and seized opportunities. I'm especially proud of Maya Lopez who bounced back from a really tough situation against Utah State last week to clinch the match for us today.
