SAN FRANCISCO — University of the Pacific found the perfect way to rebound against San Francisco.
Jahlil Tripp grabbed a career-high 20 rebounds and Pacific beat San Francisco 60-48 late Thursday night to snap a seven-game losing streak against the Dons. The Tigers (18-8, 6-4 West Coast Conference) won at San Francisco for the first time since 2007, and host Pepperdine at 7 p.m. today in the finale of a Pacific doubleheader at Spanos Center.
The Pacific women host Portland at 3 p.m.
On Thursday versus the Dons (11-5, 5-5), six Tigers scored at least eight points and James Hampshire added to the a 51-32 rebounding advantage with 12 boards.
