Now that’s how you ring in a new year.
The Pacific women’s basketball team beat San Francisco 84-61 on Monday afternoon for its first West Coast Conference victory. Valerie Higgins came up just short of a triple-double, scoring a season high 29 points with 10 rebounds, nine steals, five assists and two blocks.
Three other Tigers scored in double figures, led by Kaylin Randhawa who made three 3-ponters as part of her 15 points. But it was Higgins who established herself early, particularly in the paint. The junior guard scored 18 of her 29 points in the first half.
