STOCKTON — Damon Stoudamire has challenged the Pacific men’s basketball team from the moment he took over last March: Early morning workouts, more commitment in the weight room, more intensity on the practice court, and more personal accountability.
The Tigers appear fit, strong and energized to be in the gym with their new head coach and former NBA Rookie of the Year, who has put them through the paces with the start of full-squad practices this week at Janssen-Lagorio Gymnasium.
“Coach wants what’s best for us,” said senior guard T.J. Wallace from Stockton. “We know he has high expectations for this team because he has high expectations for himself.
