STOCKTON — Approximately 20 people gathered at the University Plaza Waterfront Hotel on Monday afternoon and intently watched the NCAA women's basketball selection show.
But this wasn't a team waiting to see where it would go. It was a group of people waiting to see who might be coming to them.
The 2017 NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Championship -- Stockton Regional will take place March 25 and 27 at Stockton Arena and the organizers have been working on preparations for the event for more than two years. They now have an idea of who could show up in town, which adds to the anticipation.
