    Ron Verlin dubbed Jacob Lampkin with a colorful nickname.
    The Tigers’ head coach, who’s currently serving an indefinite suspension in wake of an NCAA investigation into academic misconduct, would sometimes refer to Lampkin as the “Junkyard Dog” in recognition of the 6-foot-9 sophomore forward’s tenacity and high-revving motor.
