Shreve's no-no lifts Tigers to sweep of Santa Clara

Pacific baseball wrapped up the series sweep over Santa Clara today with a 1-0 win, but that was just a footnote in a day that was owned by Pacific's pitcher.

Junior pitcher Ryan Shreve threw the fourth no-hitter in Pacific baseball history on Sunday. He faced 28 batters and retired 27 only allowing a hit-by-pitch in the fourth inning to get on base. Shreve retired the final 16 batters of the game and recorded a career-high nine strikeouts on his way to the historic day.
