STOCKTON – Geanna Luaulu-Summers usually shrugs off the fact she made the winning basket with a smile.
Not Thursday. The senior point guard drove for the winning lay-up with .8 on the clock to give Pacific’s women’s basketball team a 62-60 victory against San Diego at Spanos Center.
“I’m gonna remember this one for a long time,” Luaulu-Summers said. “It was against San Diego and we’ve struggled the past few years. Actually getting the (season) sweep on them feels great.”
Pacific won at San Diego, 81-68, on Jan. 11.
