STOCKTON — There’s a reason why Pacific baseball coach Mike Neu waits to start Jake Jenkins until the end of the series.
Jenkins, a 6-foot-1 senior and right-handed pitcher, is trusted by Neu, especially with closer Vince Arobio out with an injury. And Jenkins came through for Neu and the Tigers in a stressful spot, earning a one-out save to squash a ninth-inning USF rally and seal a 5-3 win in a West Coast Conference game Friday night at Klein Family Field.
“I just try to keep my mind set throughout the game, that I can come in at any time.
