Stockton, Calif. – Senior men's tennis player Sem Verbeek has been selected as the Tigers' Competitor of the Month for January. Only nine student-athletes earn the distinction every year in Pacific Athletics and Verbeek is the fifth to garner the award during the 2015-16 academic year. The Competitor of the Month award is given each month to a Pacific athlete who demonstrates unusual or remarkable competitive effort, focus, and discipline.
Sem had a standout January and led Pacific Men’s Tennis into the national spot light by helping get the team in the published top 75, pre-season picked 3rd in WCC, and helped the team defeat #41 New Mexico and Pac-12 Arizona.
