STOCKTON, Calif. - Rachel Sellers was named the WCC Player of the Week announced on Monday. This is the catcher's third career nomination and her first of her senior campaign.
Sellers garners the conference honor after a stellar performance at the plate this weekend in the CSUN Matador Classic. Sellers went 7-12 and knocked in four RBI's during a four-game stretch against CSUN, Georgia Tech, and Cal Poly. This was Sellers' best series of hitting during a four-game slate all season.
The Los Alamitos, Calif. native drove in a hit and an RBI in each of the Tigers' games for a total of 11 bases.
