STOCKTON, Calif. - The Pacific men's soccer team kicks off their regular season this week when they head to Sacramento State to take on the Hornets this Friday at 5 PM. The Tigers will then host their home opener against CSU Bakersfield this Sunday, Aug. 27 at 6 PM, and the first 500 fans in attendance will receive a free Pacific soccer scarf.
Last weekend the Orange and Black were edged by #1 Stanford 1-0 in their final preseason match. Curtis Goldsmith got the start in goal, logging five saves on the night. The Tigers had seven shots in the match, with Bob Groenendijk pacing the Orange and Black with three.
