STOCKTON, Calif. - Women's softball outfielder, Sam Owen, was named the West Coast Conference Player of the Week Monday morning.
Owen earns her first Player of the Week award following a stellar performance at the plate this past week against Stanford and San Diego.
The Manteca, Calif. native hit 5-13 at the plate for a .385 batting average, just above her season clip of .362 which is also a team-high.
Owen also recorded two home runs against San Diego, a go-ahead jack to extend Pacific's lead to 5-2 in game one and a two-run homer to put the team up 2-0 in game two, becoming a pivotal piece in the Tigers' three-game sweep of the Toreros.
