STOCKTON, Calif. - The term student-athlete can take the shape of many forms. For senior softball player, Caitlin Reynolds, however, it encompasses a very simple definition: excellence on and off the field.
A fourth-year player entering her final season for the Pacific softball team, Reynolds has understood the importance of balancing both aspects of her studies and playing the game that she loves.
Funded by the Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) during the summer of 2018 to conduct research and invited less than a year later to the Society for Research in Child Development (SRCD) conference held in Baltimore, MD, Reynolds had the opportunity to present her project on shy toddlers and their vocalizations with parents and strangers with hundreds of other researchers around the nation.
