LOUISVILLE, KY. - Utility Hailey Reed and outfielder Samantha Owen were named The National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-West Region Third Team, announced on Thursday.
Reed earns her second NFCA All-Team award, her first coming during her freshman year last year. Owen wins her first ever honor and becomes the 23rd Tiger to win the award in program history.
Reed followed up her freshman campaign with another stellar campaign both inside and out of the circle. The utility pitcher started 14 games for the Orange and Black with 16 total appearances, five complete games, and a team-high 55 strikeouts.
