Record-Setting Day Gets Tigers Victory

Hanover, N.H. – The Pacific Tigers set the program record for most goals in a game with their 8-2 resounding victory over the Vermont Catamounts early Tuesday morning. Pacific had twice before scored seven goals in a game, coming against Appalachian State in 2006 and against Appalachian State again in 2009.

It was also the first time in the 39 years of Pacific field hockey that the Tigers scored five or more goals in three consecutive games. Only once before had Pacific scored at least four goals in three consecutive games, with that streak coming in 2006. The Tigers reached four goals by halftime today, the third game in a row they have scored four goals in the first half.
