Sunday night looked like a classic low-scoring affair between the Stockton Ports and the Visalia Rawhide, one that would stretch into extra innings until either team scratched across the winning run.
Then, the Ports came to bat in the top of the 10th.
Stockton exploded for nine runs in the first frame of extras to eventually beat Visalia 11-3 on the road. The Ports needed just 10 hits to get it done, and five extra-base hits.
Greg Deichmann went 2 for 4 with two RBI, with both hits being solo home runs. In fact, his two jacks were the runs that allowed the Ports to send things to an extra inning.
